Meet Ambassador & Osteopath – Louise Bibby

Louise Bibby

TAHH Ambassador & Osteopath

Dr Louise Bibby—Lou to most—is a dynamic force in allied health, blending clinical excellence with inspiring leadership. As Australia’s first Advanced Sports Osteopath, Lou has set a benchmark for clinical expertise in sports injury management, knee and ACL rehabilitation, and women’s health. Her deep-rooted passion for allied health shines through in her role as Director and Founder of Central Mallee Health, where she leads multidisciplinary teams with an energy that’s as relentless as it is infectious. Recognised nationally with nominations for Osteopath of the Year and awards for Rural and Remote Allied Health Excellence, Lou embodies the rare combination of clinical rigour and community commitment that defines impactful leadership.

Lou’s qualifications are impressive and diverse—holding a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) from Victoria University, she is also a Titled Advanced Sports Osteopath and certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Beyond clinical practice, Lou’s academic involvement and governance roles, including membership on the Victorian State Council for Sports Medicine Australia and founding leadership of the Osteo Sports Network, position her as a pivotal educator and mentor within the sector. Her hands-on approach to athlete development and injury prevention is informed by a lifelong dedication to research and evidence-based practice, ensuring that every intervention is grounded in the latest clinical insights.

Lou’s approach to allied health is unashamedly human-centred, driven by a philosophy that combines relentless passion with a family- and community-focused ethos. Known affectionately for her “shiny ball syndrome,” her boundless enthusiasm motivates not only patients but also colleagues and community members alike. Whether mentoring young clinicians, advocating for rural health, or juggling multiple roles in her busy “circus,” Lou’s impact resonates well beyond her clinic walls. Her commitment to nurturing resilient teams and fostering meaningful connections exemplifies what it means to be a true ambassador for allied health in Australia.
